Be the first team to get all 3 quarters into the mug or glass of beer.
Gameplay
Divide yourself into two teams of 3-4 people each team on either side of a table. Set a large mug or glass in the center of the table and fill it a majority full with the beer or alcohol of your choice. Give each member of team one and team two one quarter each, and designate the “Anchorman” for each team.
The objective of the game is to get all of your team’s quarters into the mug before the other team. Team one player one and Team two player one will go first, battling by bouncing their quarter off of the table and attempting to get their quarter in the mug first. Once a player from either team get’s their quarter in the mug, the next player on that team begins their attempt. This continues until the last player on any team gets their quarter in the mug. The team where all players get their quarter in the mug first, wins. The losing team must consume the beer in the central mug. The Anchorman consumes whatever liquid is left after their teammates drink.
Endgame
The game is won by getting all of your teams quarters into the mug before the opposing team, the losing team must drink the contents of the central mug.
Anchorman Strategy & Tips
Bounce your quarters flat on the table, this gives them a higher bounce with a better chance at landing in the mug.
FAQs
What size table should we play Anchorman on?
Any table will do, but preferably a table where both teams can line up on either side. A standard 6-foot table is ideal, and wood is ideal for bounce.
Can we play with less than 6 players or more than 8 players?
Sure. Quarters can be played with as many players as you’d like, keep in mind that this will drastically change the length of the game and the size of the table required.
